Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich Named to WHCA Board

Next president: Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich has been named to the White House Correspondents Association Board starting on July 15. Heinrich was elected to serve three years as a WHCA At-Large seat Board member. She will serve as the association’s president in the final year of her term (2027-2028), taking over from Justin Sink, Bloomberg News White House correspondent.

New role: Scripps News has announced that Maura Barrett will be the network’s new business and technology correspondent, located in Denver. Barrett joins from NBC News, where she served as a Chicago-based correspondent. In her new role, she will cover the intersection of the economy, technology, and science, tracking how innovation, markets, and policy shape our economy and climate future.

Team switch: Another NBCUniversal executive is being poached to join Versant. The soon-to-be-spun-off media company named Jessica Kurdali as senior vice president of talent strategy, responsible for overseeing all talent management, recruitment, and development across the company’s news, sports, and entertainment businesses, including MSNBC and CNBC. At NBCUniversal, Kurdali was an svp of talent strategy and development for NBC News and MSNBC.

Promotions at ABC News: Almin Karamehmedovic, ABC News president, announced the elevation of four senior leaders in the New York headquarters and Washington, D.C., bureau. Jennifer Metz becomes executive producer, special events and news specials planning. In addition to her existing role at World News Tonight with David Muir, Metz will also plan and lead all ABC News prearranged special reports. She reports to Seni Tienabeso, vice president of ABC News Live and specialized units, and will work closely with WNT ep Chris Dinan and Karamehmedovic.

John Santucci was promoted to senior executive editorial producer and managing editor, investigative unit and strategic initiatives. Santucci will lead the Investigative Unit and help guide ABC News’ collaboration across programs and platforms, working closely with ABC OTV investigative teams.

Katherine Faulders was named Washington, D.C., bureau managing editor. This newly created position will see Faulders help drive coverage of ABC News’ Washington, D.C.-based reporting, where she’ll help manage the editorial teams while continuing to report for all ABC News programs and platforms. She reports to Washington, D.C., bureau chief and vice president Rick Klein.

Finally, Ben Siegel is being promoted to deputy political director and coordinating producer. Also based in D.C., he will report to political director Averi Harper.
